Welcome to 2022! All the Pacific Northwest data groups continue to collaborate on bringing you great content. Different teams take turns hosting virtual the monthly meetings. The plan is one “evening” meeting on the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 4 PM PST, and a second meeting on the 4th Wednesday of the month at 12 PM PST.
This week we present Kim Manis. We will get an updates on Azure Synapse coming out of the Microsoft Ignite Conference.

Title: Azure Synapse – What’s New From Ignite
Abstract:
Azure Synapse Analytics brings together data preparation, data warehousing, and big data analytics in one unified experience for organizations to collaborate on. Kim will cover the latest innovations from Azure Synapse that were released since Ignite. In addition, Kim will highlight some of the key Power BI integrations in Azure Synapse and how we are doing more to bring these communities together.
Presenter Bio: Kim Manis
Kim Manis is Director of Product Management for Azure Synapse Analytics. Before her time on the Synapse team, Kim was the Group Product Manager for the Power BI self-service experiences – including Power BI Desktop, Power BI service and Power BI integrations in Microsoft Office. Previously, Kim worked on all sorts of products ranging from productivity software, social networks, and online retail.
